So you’ve already seen my list of the best items to buy at Dollar Tree – here are the worst. In my opinion, even at a dollar, these items are not worth buying at Dollar Tree.

Kitchen Tools

To be fair, it’s not like I’ve tried every item here. Some may be better than others. But in my experience, everything I have bought in this regard from Dollar Tree has gone straight in the garbage after one use. Tongs that are too flimsy to hold anything, spatulas that bend to the weight of a simple hamburger, the list goes on. These items are cheap enough to find elsewhere and they will actually function. Even better, there are usually tons of these items at thrift stores!

Health and Beauty Supplies

I can be a bit of a snob about this stuff and prefer all natural or even organic products. But even outside of that, I wouldn’t really trust what is in these products. To be so cheap, you have to question what kind of ingredients are being used. So I don’t have any scientific data to back this up, but just gut instinct would make me weary. As far as supplies, one example I can think of buying was the cotton swabs. They were so flimsy that they were virtually unusable. Now some of these products are name brands just in really small quantities, but I would question if you are actually getting a value in most cases.

Food

This one is a bit of a toss up. If you are not concerned about healthy eating, then I guess the options here are decent. However, I wouldn’t want to put the majority of what I see in Dollar Tree in my body. Very cheap, low quality processed foods. However, I do think there are some decent items here and there, and the candy is an option in a pinch. However, I still think you can get more bang for your buck in other stores.

So those are my main categories that I think you should skip at Dollar Tree. What do you think? Agree or disagree? Let me know below!
