Any poor gal like me knows that Dollar Tree should be up there on your list of favorite shopping arenas! This has changed a bit for me lately, as I have started to try to buy products made in the US as much as possible, but we all know how expensive that can get. Here is my humble opinion of the items that are worth buying in Dollar Tree!

DollarTree store, budgeting, saving
Good ol’ Dollar Tree

Organizing Bins

Dollar Tree has a ton of different bins for organization (or for anything really!). I loooove these. Similar baskets even in Walmart tend to run minimum $5 a piece, and forget going to those fancy spots like Bed Bath and Beyond or Container Store where each basket is $20 a pop or more. You can organize every closet in your house for under $50 easily when shopping at Dollar Tree. I have even used them in my freezer to make it easy to grab certain categories of items to avoid digging and letting all the air out (another money saver!). They are durable and available in a tons of colors and sizes. Can’t go wrong, these are a total win.

Phone Screen Protectors

Maybe I’ve just had good luck but I have been buying screen protectors for my phone from Dollar Tree for years now and never had a cracked screen. Not too much else to say other than they do their job, my screen is protected, and I do drop it a fair amount. Comparing to Walmart, you are looking at $5 minimum and seems to do the same job.

Party Supplies

Dollar Tree has a ton of party supplies – invitations, all the plates and napkins you could need, decorations, balloons, games, etc. And of course, it’s all a dollar a piece. Super cheap way to get everything for a party, when a lot of this stuff always ends up getting thrown out anyway.

Gift Boxes

When the holidays roll around, Dollar Tree a great place to get boxes for wrapping. They come in all sorts of cute designs, and you typically get three or so a pack for a dollar (depending on the size box). Bonus saver move- when everyone opens their gifts, offer to take them all back. Most people don’t want to deal with them, and I’ve probably been using the same $5 worth of boxes for years now.

Stationary/Office Supplies

Dollar Tree has a great selection of notebooks, folders, and various other office supplies. If you are like me, you like getting fresh notebooks for everything. I can keep one everywhere and for everything I need. They have tons of pens and pencils as well as tape and any other stationary items you can think of. Some of these things may value wise be cheaper elsewhere, but it’s a great selection and you can’t really go wrong at the price in a pinch.

Greeting Cards

I won’t buy greeting cards anywhere else (other than thrift stores)! In your average store greeting cards have become a complete rip. $5 or more for something basic that most people toss. Dollar Tree has a huge selection and for just a dollar it doesn’t feel like a waste, and I could be mistaken but I think certain ones are even less!

Glassware

The glassware is one of my favorites at Dollar Tree! I can get all the party glasses I need for my bar (margarita glasses, wine glasses, rocks glasses) and all the regular drinking glasses as well. They are thick, sturdy, and from what I’ve seen BPA free. Can’t go wrong scooping up a few of these!

Those are just a few of my favorite items to snag at Dollar Tree. Do you agree or disagree? What have I missed? Leave your comments below!
